McLean & Company's 2021 HR Trends Report found that the top three priorities HR is facing in 2021 are recruiting, developing leaders, and managing labor costs while maximizing labor spend (N=850). Despite the immense change HR has experienced over the last year, these priorities have remained the same year over year. However, the challenges faced and the solutions to these priorities have changed dramatically.

Philip Dana is an HR executive with a record of building high-performing teams within domestic and global Fortune companies and employer of choice environments. His HR superpowers lie within recruiting, HR tech, mergers and acquisitions, EDI, and turnarounds.
As Head of HR for Dendreon, Phil is leading a team through a significant transformation that shifts from building the foundation of an HR COE to enabling the business strategy through COVID-19, BLM, AAPI, economic challenges, and a significant shift in strategy that includes organic and inorganic growth while on a journey towards becoming an employer of choice.
Phil served in the Navy as an enlisted and an officer. He is a graduate of the US Naval Academy. He has a successful and lengthy track record of supporting transitioning veterans, being a leader in the EDI space, as well as rescuing Pitbulls.
DeRetta Rhodes, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President & Chief People Officer, Atlanta Braves
Dr. Rhodes received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, her Master’s in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University and her Ph.D. in adult education from the University of Georgia. She is a certified facilitator for the Benchmark 360 assessment by the Center for Creative Leadership, DISC coach and facilitator, qualified facilitator for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and HOGAN Assessment and HOGAN 360.
Dr. Rhodes completed her Ted Talk (TEDxUGA) in 2018. She has also been recognized as a Women of Excellence (2018), 100 Women of Influence (2020) by Atlanta Business Chronicle, and a Distinguished Alumni (2020) in the Family and Consumer Science College of the University of Georgia.
She is currently a Board Director Member and Member Engagement Chair of Human Resource Leadership Forum (HRLF), Board Director Member of Goodwill of North Georgia, Board Member and Board Chair of Board Effectiveness of 21st Century Leaders, Trustee Member of the Woodruff Arts Center, Advisory Member of HR Exchange Network and past President of the Alumni Board of Family Consumer Science College at the University of Georgia.

Heather Krablin is a talent management professional with over 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience. As SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer for Williston Financial Group she is responsible for ensuring that the company’s human resources policies, objectives, and initiatives support WFG’s overall goals and objectives, while working closely with executive management to evaluate company policies, procedures, and organizational structure in order to recommend ways to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Heather’s diverse business background includes exposure to a variety of industries and she has led the reformation of numerous HR infrastructures by providing thoughtful analysis and understanding of the business, competitive landscape, and the development of strategic initiatives. She is skilled in full life cycle recruitment, establishing key metrics in measuring success, and providing leadership to design, implement and monitor company-wide programs. Heather holds a degree in Economics from the University of San Francisco.
